Description
A hugely successful high-end property development business is recruiting for an Interior Design Technician to join their growing team. The company have a great reputation for creating beautiful, high-end homes. They are based in Bushey, Hertfordshire and generally work on projects in the North West London, Hertfordshire, Enfield and Buckinghamshire areas. The Design Technician would be based at the company office and studio in Bushey but would also be able to work from home 2 days per week with around 3 days in the studio. (or if preferred 5 days a week in the studio)
The Design Technician will work directly with the Head of Interiors. They require someone with a strong technical aptitude who has worked in a similar design technician role for another luxury interiors / property development company.
Responsibilities:
- CAD design and development of interior layouts
- To support the Head of Interiors, Director and Site Team at all stages of a project(s) from inception through to completion.
- Assist with the preparation of tender presentation material.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed drawings, schedules and finishes
- Assist with full joinery drawing packs
- Space planning and creating floor plans
- Help prepare kitchen, bathroom and lighting layouts
- Assist with the preparation of detailed drawings, including perspective sketches/3D sketches where required.
- Document Control across all projects from site to suppliers to end user.
- Make presentations of new thoughts and designs, both orally and visually
Skills Required:
- AutoCad proficient
- Experience in Excel, In-design, Photoshop
- Working knowledge of Building regulations, technical guidance Documents, British Standards and other relevant statutory legislation.
- A degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- Have the ability to communicate pleasantly and professionally with both staff and clients.
- Possess an enthusiastic interest in design and creativity.
- Be self-motivated and committed to achieving personal and company missions and visions.
- Full Driving License (preferred but not essential)
This is a full time, permanent role. Monday to Friday.
